Three things, all of them on the street
Homeless outreach
We walk the streets of downtown Tampa and Gainesville with food, and the food is what starts the conversation. Your gift buys the meals we hand to people the rest of the city walks past.
Next generation outreach
College students and young adults are hungry for something true. Gifts here fund the outreach, the Bibles and the materials that meet them where they already are.
Missions and evangelism
Training disciples through SENT Sessions, establishing new ministry branches, and expanding the work throughout Florida and beyond. Your gift sends the next team out.
Transforming hearts in Tampa & Gainesville
Discipleship
We are called to make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). We are making disciples both inside and outside of MHC!
Next Gen Outreach
We do not just serve the homeless, we serve the LOST! The next generation is so hungry for the truth, we are ready and excited to give it to them -- Jesus is the only answer.
Serving Saturdays
We walk the streets of downtown Tampa and downtown Gainesville, building relationships and introducing the LOST to Jesus.
That weekly rhythm has a name — Serving Saturdays, the recurring Saturday outreach in downtown Tampa and downtown Gainesville. Anyone in Tampa can join the volunteer team or donate clothes for homeless outreach to help the team prepare what is handed out each week.
Disciples equipped, emboldened, and sent
Our vision is to see disciples of Jesus Christ equipped, emboldened, and sent into the world to proclaim the Gospel. Through MHC, we seek to:
- Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ
- Reach people from all backgrounds and walks of life
- Serve individuals in practical ways
- Build genuine relationships with the people we encounter
Learn on the street, alongside the team
Our formal training program, SENT Sessions, is paused right now. New volunteers still go out alongside experienced team members and are never sent out on their own.
Every one matters
Every numberrepresents a person made in the image of God.
Every mealrepresents an opportunity to serve.
Every conversationrepresents an opportunity to proclaim the Gospel.
